Objectives

Translate the diversity and richness of this place to the new site. Increase the online booking rate.

Mission

Acted as a UX project manager within the Malabar design agency, in order to enable the client to translate his needs to the teams, to monitor and ensure that delivery deadlines and their quality are met. Implementation of different UX methodologies in order to create an interface faithful to the needs of the users and to the customer objectives.

Methodology

User research

Upstream a user research allowed us to determine the personae, typical users who will visit the site to inquire or make a reservation. We were able to determine their aspirations, their uses, their preferences and their habits on this type of site during individual interviews.

Card sorting

Through this workshop, we determine the tree structure and the semantics used for each category of the menu. First, with an open map sort. Participants must group entries / categories and then name the groups formed. Then with a closed card sort. The procedure is the same, however, the categories determined first with the customer are introduced in the cards. We try to check the relevance and cohesion of these. At the end of this workshop, we were able to determine the tree structure below.

Sketches, Wireframes, Prototypes

Cette phase permet d’aboutir à un rendu fidèle aux attentes et besoins des utilisateurs.

Le sketching nous permet de réaliser une ébauche basse fidélité de l’interface et d’engager une réflexion autour de la structure, de l’architecture d’information et du positionnement des éléments.

Nous créons ensuite les wireframes, fidèles au rendu final en termes de structure, de hiérarchisation de l’information et du positionnement des éléments.

Ce sont ces wireframes qui nous servent ensuite à réaliser des prototypes pour procéder aux tests avec les utilisateurs.

This phase allows to achieve a faithful rendering to the expectations and needs of the users.

The sketching allows us to create a low fidelity draft of the interface and to engage a reflection about the structure, the architecture.

We then create the wireframes, faithful to the final rendering in terms of structure, hierarchy of information and positioning of the elements. 

These wireframes are then used to make prototypes for testing with users.

User tests

User tests are initiated to identify the dark spots of the interface, optimize its ergonomics and conversion tunnels in order to obtain a site that is as intuitive and understandable as possible. Thanks to these tests, we create an interface faithful to the expectations and the needs of the users.

These tests users are designed on the basis of scenarios allowing to put users in situation of navigating all the prototypes and having the opportunity to observe their behaviors and hear their feedback.

To finish, we implement the solutions established in the obtained results during these workshops.
